Fuel for the Fire

Hexane......we need 25 litres of it for a start. Its the best fuel for the pilot burner of the car. Todays task was to check local supplier. Watch this space.

Beginning of the end or end of the Beginning....

At the Veteran Car Club of Great Britain SW Section St David's Day lunch yesterday fellow members asked if our 1914 Stanley steamer was ready yet. They have been asking this for several years.....the car naturally taking twice as long and costing twice as much to restore as originally thought.

I made a rash commitment, to get it to the section main event in June.
